I also noticed when I sat down at the computer that this will be a scary dress to wear to school. I'll have to attach a couple of safety pins to the inside so I don't have any wardrobe malfunctions a la Mrs. Jackson.

This is the best outside shot I could get. The camera wanted to focus on the trees. I even tried the manual focusing options but they didn't seem to work. Oh well. Notice the change in footwear and the snow. Brrrrr. I finished the neckline and clipped all threads. Although, I do see some up by the collar that I must have missed.

ReplyDeleteCute one, instead of safety pins, can't you put some snaps on the inside of the plackets inbetween the buttons where needed? I think I saw that recommended in Sewing 911 or another book.

ReplyDeleteOn All Brands, I *think* I ordered from them a LONG time ago, and I'm pretty sure it was embroidery-related software. At any rate, I've been aware of them for a long time, so that's a good sign, and they also sponser a sewing forum called "SewForum" (here's the URL:
http://www.sewforum.com/) that I've been a member of for years. Members also post free embroidery designs, and post pictues of their creations. Kind of like PR, with very little of effort involved with posting a sewing project. There's also a wide range of sewing levels on it. I'm pretty sure it's where I found PR.
Oh, and if you want to be able to see any pictures, or download any embroidery, or see them for that matter, you have to register. And I forgot to mention that they also have discussions on various subjects, and there are a LOT of members that do embroidery, and are very knowledgeable, and more than willing to help, and give advice. As a matter of fact, I would suggest joining, and posting your embroidery question(s) there. Machine or otherwise.

ReplyDeleteI am a teacher, too. Isn't it funny how we have to think about how our outfit will work there? I wore a dress to school without sitting down in it, and, thankfully, I was giving tests that day, so I could put my coat over my lap and claim I was cold :)
