I finished my first marathon yesterday and I’m tired. Bone tired.
I finished in 4:05 which is a bummer because I wanted to hit that 4:00 hour mark. I’m trying to console myself knowing I was the 4th in my age group (there were only 20-ish of us) and 31th overall for women in the marathon (there were 140 or so of us ladies).
Phew.
Wow! Congratulations on your first marathon. 4:05 sounds pretty fast!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I can't even run. I tried this weekend, and had to walk every 30-60 seconds!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Nice job, Dawn! You should be so proud of your accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYes, congratulations! Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteYou did great! You'll beat your time next marathon. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - I know that you didn't make the time that you wanted but I still think that running and finishing was a great accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteI'd say you did a magnificent job! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteRight On!!! I have to say, I admire everyone who can run a marathon, it's an incredible achievement.

Congratulations on completing your first marathon!!
ReplyDeleteYou kick much ass!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! You know I love running, but I have zero desire to do a marathon because of all the training time involved! You really are a superwoman to tackle this on top of a full-time job and being a single mom. ANY marathon time is an achievement most people never see! Great job!
ReplyDelete(Another common runner trait is being too damned hard on ourselves!)
That's incredible and a GREAT time for your first marathon! I just started training for my first half marathon. So, thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Rest up and give yourself a break!
ReplyDeletethat is awesome
