Slow and not so steady

Man alive, can I go any slower on this jacket? I've hit the wall and just want to throw the whole damn thing away. The trim is completely on the jacket and the pockets. All I have left is the lining and the finishing stuff like hemming, understitching, etc.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can . . . .

Yeah, I'm not one for long drawn-out projects either, but you can do it! Yeah, I'd be thinking of every other project that would be more fun too...

Stick with it! Since I haven't even started my Chanel jacket, I am living vicariously through those of you who are actually working on one.....I look forward to seeing your finished jacket :-)

The trim looks fabulous! It also looks like it was the most time consuming part. That means that it is all down hill from here. It is always so easy to get hard projects started, but like my mom always said, "you can't wear them until they are finished."

I cannot wait to see that jacket. It will be worth it so just keep at it.

YOU CAN DO IT! I know that feeling of just wanting to chuck a project. You'll like it again when it is all finished. It is looking fantastic! I love the trim.

It looks pretty so far - you can do it! I know this feeling well - you just have to power through to the end and then you can do something short and sweet

A tip: next time, start by making the lining - it's so easy & quick, and you'll get it done fast because you'll be so eager to get your hands on the fashion fabric.

I'm with becki's Mom on the finishing bit: my mantra is "If I don't finish, it'll all have been a waste of my time". Sometimes, when I'm feeling particularly negative towards taking that next step, it becomes "until I finish, I'm wasting my time". A little bit of tough selflove can really help. Nudge.

You know, the more I look at it, the more I think I have some of that same fabric...or it's twin sister... I've never had any inspiration about what to make with it. Hmmm. A jacket???

You could set it aside for a while, but that's where UFOs come from. Believe me, I know how to create UFOs.

Love how it's looking...great trim.

I'm with good works. I also hate long, drawn out projects -- but they are so worth it when they're done. Your fabric and trim look great.
