First project in the new house…

ETA: Some links, a correction and formatting nasty.

So.

I live in a new house. Weird how life turns out. I have a new, albeit smaller, sewing room and all my stuff moved here. As you could probably tell I took a summer sewing break to move and spend some quality time with my kiddos. They seem to be taking the move well. They love the new house.

My first sewing project is an easy one. I had several girl shirts that were booooooorrrrrrring (girls' terms, not mine). I used my handy dandy embroidery machine to add a little pop to them. All these designs are (maybe were?) free. I think I got all except the bird from Emblibrary.com EmbroiderThis.com. The bird was a freebie from UrbanThread.com. I am doing all my posts via iPhone so I can't make links and I'm sure all the formatting will be junk. When I get my Internet hooked up, I'll
reformat these posts.

I have several things to post about. I'll show you my new sewing digs. And, forgive me, but I have found the perfect RTW jeans and, GASP, bought some!!!! I'll show you those soon. I'm glad to be back!!!!!!

Hi Dawn, welcome back! I missed your fun and interesting posts. Those RTW jeans must be something else if they can beat (or even match) the success you had with your own 2 on 2 off Jalies.

Dawn, it great to have you back *hugs*. It's good you're getting settled in your new place. Taking care of family always come first. It's quite alright you bought great RTW jeans. You can do it without guilt because you've already mastered the art of making your own great jeans!!!! You've inspired me to sew my own which I plan to do sometime this century!!! LOL!

So glad you're back. Cute shirts! I too found some RTW jeans that I love. Even though I have the pattern and the fabric to make my own I never quite got around to it. Now, maybe I never will....

Dawn, so happy to see you back! You are such a sewing inspiration. I admit the saggy boob failure was funny but glad to see it replaced by the adorable embroidery. Best wishes in the new house.
