So, yes I am a winner. However, this Patrones is made especially for tall (or maybe Plus-sized? I don't read Spanish) women in the size 40-48 range. Drat. I'm more of the 34/36 range. Oh well, looking at the patterns is great. I don't think there are any that I love so much as to go through the pain of reducing a certain pattern by two sizes but maybe. The book is from October 2005 so there are lots of coats, jackets, and pants. Perfect for me, just too darn big.
Also, I bid on a April Burda magazine on eBay. In the last few hours, someone outbid me. I like the April one but don't love it. I will be getting the May one for sure. Have you seen some of the super cute patterns in the May magazine?
Oh, and here is a question for you Burda-fans. Why are there 8 issues? Which months do they skip? So far there has been a January, February, March, April, and May. Do they do a "special" issue so skip a few months or how does it work?
Here are a few of the May patterns I think are cute.

There are 12 BWOF issues in a year. And check the Patrones size chart, the Spanish sizes differ a lot from BWOF, from memory I now say that a 40 BWOF is a 36 in Patrones.
I must have missed that metallic blouse! I like that!
Yeah, the metallic blouse is really cute.
I am so getting a subscription if there are 12 of them. I guess I was just thinking they sell individual issues for $10 so $80 would get you 8 issues per year. But that makes sense. If you put up the money for a full year, each issue is reduced. Is there a Burda/Patrones size comparison somewhere? If not, I'll post one later when I look at my two magazines later.
Looks like Sigrid already chimed in on the Patrones sizes - definitely different than BWOF. If you want the April issue, why don't you contact GLP and see if they have any left? It's still early in the month and they might. Or check with SewBaby.com they also sell single issues. Hope you find one!
BTW, I don't think there is a BWOF and Patrones size comparison chart, just take your measurements in cm's and look at the size chart that is included.
Melissa, I might buy April one. There is nothing in there that I LOVE. But I figured if I could get it cheap on eBay, why not? I'll just check my magazines when I get home to check the sizes. I have a feeling that these Patrones patterns are for tall and/or plus-sizes. They are cute but probably WAY too big for me.
What Sigrid said about Patrones sizes. I don't think they are a one for one match for BWOF.
That's not the size range for Patrones Grande (plus). If you're going to sub to BWOF, you can ask that GLP start with the April issue. Then you'll have it for less money and the others after it.
Wow! Those are some cute styles in Burda.
