Thank You Shannon!

Thank you Shannon at Hungry Zombie Couture for setting up such a great way to organize Burda patterns. I currently only have one magazine so it will be easy to "catch up" on my organizing. I am including model picture, line drawing, fabric suggestions, yardage needed, and notes for myself. I'm on the fence over this though. When they show more than one view of a pattern, do you think I should put both on there or just keave it at one? The line drawing would be the same but the model photo and maybe the yardage would be different. I think what I will do it pick my favorite view and use that one. I don't want to make two photos in one box because they will be too small and it will ruin the format. Yes, I'm that way. I've only done one page but I am loving it so far. I love organizing. Well, organizing sewing stuff, my house is a disaster. I have given up trying to have a tidy house. Too many "helpers."

OK, now that is very organised. Have fun doing it all. :)

Great idea isn't it? I would leave it at just one photo - the one that inspires you the most. And if you decide to actually make something you can easily look up the yardage in the mag.

You're welcome!!

I did exactly what you are doing. I pick the one photo that inspires me the most and I leave it at that. You'll find when you have a few year's worth of magazines, you already have about a million patterns you want to sew, so if you miss a alternate version occasionally, you will still have plenty to keep you busy!

The only other thing I may do, is reorganize so that all the knit patterns are together and all the wovens, etc.

i do the same thing with my BWOFs. I've got it easy because I only use the plus patterns. Once you have a template it takes only a few minutes to catalog an issue. I encourage every BWOF-phile to try this.

I know, isn't it a great system? I've been scanning/printing the pages with the line drawings for a binder but this is so much better!! I'm just OCD enough to do this too. It's good "tv" work while on the laptop, LOL.

Okay, organizing the Burda patterns is cool, but what I really want is to see what you're going to do with that dress!
