Here's a close-up of the weave. Too bad I don't like jackets because this one would be kick ass.
This is a cotton knit with a large scale print. It's grey, black, and red on a heathered grey. Maybe another Jalie Cardigan?
This is a wool/mohair knit. It's a very open weave. If you look closely, you can see my hand underneath. I'm not sure what to do with this one. Another Simplicity cardi??
I also bought some random buttons. They were 10 packs for a $1. I picked out several metal ones and some pink and yellow ones for my girls.

I'm totally drooling over that silk suiting. It looks wonderful!
From your photos, I think the silk suiting would look lovely made up into the dress!
3 yards, huh? I think you only need 2. Hmmm... what do I have that you would like??? "Seams Like Home" looks like a great fabric store!
yum, silk suiting - are you sure you hate jackets? How about a 60's style sheath dress with a little jacket?
I can't wait to see what you make. That is gorgeous fabric!!!
You're fortunate to have a good shop for garment fabric. Good choices!
I bought it for my daughter, so cute.
What great buys!
That silk suiting is TDF! Yes, it is frustrating that you don't like to wear jackets because that would be awesome. But the colors will looks wonderful on you no matter what you do with it. I almost gasped when I saw the large scale cotten knit with the grays, black and red. One of my friends here in FL just bought it from Vogue Fabrics and we were having a discussion about what to make with it. I'll be so curious to see what you decide.
Hi, I wondered if you could help me source denim for jeans. I checked out fabrics.com but they don't list the denim weight. Have you used their denim, or is there another denim you'd recommend? The only heavy denim I've found locally is $20/yd and up!
Thanks so much!
Hey, I like what Rachel said - the dress would great in that gorgeous silk! Perfect with the new black Jalie cardi too.
That silk suiting is just wow. Please, please start wearing jackets. Or just sell them on Etsy. You could have your creative outlet and then be done with it and still have a few bucks in your pocket for more fabric.
You are so lucky to have such a great store nearby.
I have that third fabric and LOVE IT! it would be great as a cardigan!
Oh my, that silk suiting is one of the most beautiful fabrics I've ever seen! Can't wait to see the finished result you sew with it.
