I don't know how many of you use Bloglines as your RSS feed but they are closing as of October 1st. I've kinda been out of the loop lately as far as blog/RSS/sewing goes so it was kind of a surprise to me. I really like my feeds because it's a fast way for me to check in on my favorite bloggers.
What do you guys use? Do you use a RSS reader still? What are my other options? I like that I can go to one site and read all of my favorites at one stop. I haven't been very good lately at reading other people's blogs but I'm getting to the point where I am ready to start in again. And now Bloglines is closing! Damn them to hell!! Okay, I'm not really that upset but I do want to move my feeds to another place so I don't lose them all.

Google Reader is your best option then. I was using Bloglines forever, but my friends convinced me to try Reader and now I'm hooked on that. You can import from your Bloglines subs to Reader too!
I too use Google Reader. I have heard some people have an issue with it, but I must admit, I like to do exactly what you say bloglines does (I have never been), go to one page, check out who's posted, and subscribe to the blogs I like, and know that it will be updated on Reader when I next logon.
Good luck!
Hope we get to know more about your move/ life/ work/ sewing space soon! Your new backyard looks awesome, but I assume you are still in Anchorage?
Three for Google reader!
I only just converted to reading blogs this way, but it does seem to streamline the process.
You should read Debbie Cook's blog. She's in the middle of finding another reader and isn't happy about losing Bloglines like yourself. :)
I personally switched from Bloglines to Google Reader about 12mths ago and couldn't be happier. I don't use the actual reader though. I use the "next button" on my toolbar and hop from blog to blog.
Another vote for Google Reader.
I use Bloglovin and I love it.
A lot of people seem to be using google reader but I don't like it. I've been using FeedDemon for a while now and find it really easy to use.
I use bloglovin, I've never used google reader though so I can't say it's any better. I do like it, however :)
I've also just switched to google reader, I can't say I like it but I was able to easily import all my bloglines subscriptions so that was useful. Hopefully I'll get used to using it soon.
I use the feedreader of my e-mail program (windows live mail) and am very happy with this system. I tried to use an online reader for a while, but didn't seem to be able to get used to it.
Google Reader as well. I use the website on my laptop or a free app on my iPhone that keeps everything in sync (the other suggestions may have an iPhone app as well).
Another Google Reader here - so easy to follow everyone :)
Google Reader all the way!
I was also a Bloglines devotee. :-( I'm using Google Reader now, and I don't think it's quite as user friendly and intuitive, but I'm trying to give it a chance. :-)
I use Google Reader and like it a lot, but it's the only reader I've ever used so I don't have much basis for comparison. It works for me, though! :)
I use Bloglovin to read my blogs. I did try Google Reader and I do like that you can search with it but for some reason preferred Bloglovin at the time. Each has there shortcomings I think so you should give a few a try to see what you can live with or without.
Google Reader
I use Google Reader too. It is very easy!
I hate Google Reader. As Belinda noted, I tried out a few and posted about them in a couple of recent blog posts. I'm using FeedDemon now and like it nearly as much as Bloglines.
Google Reader here. :)
Google reader, as it also has an Android app that allows me to read from my phone!
I use google reader, too. Sometimes I do get overwhelmed by all the "Unread", though. It is nice to be able to categorize everything.
I also use Google reader. I'm pretty happy with it and haven't tried anything else. I just need a better app on my iPhone to read my blogs.
I've used Google Reader for the past few years now and love it! Here's a link to an article about converting from Bloglines to Google Reader, in case you're interested:

I also use Google Reader. It can be excruciatingly slow at times (as Debbie mentions in her posts). One hopes they know about this and are working on an update...
One thing I like about Reader is that I can click on "All Items" and get a list of all the new unread posts, complete with text and pics.
After reading Debbie's post about other options, I tried FeedDemon and Snarfer but didn't like them.
I also switched to Google Reader after I switched from IE to Google Chrome. I never used Bloglines before, but Google Reader is user friendly and get the job done. Good luck!
Another Google Reader also! but similar to Sam, I've not used anything else.
Another vote for Google Reader here, since I have no experience with anything else with which to compare.
I dislike the user interface on Google Reader. It doesn't read as nicely and cleanly as Bloglines. I found NewsFire and I'm enjoying using it. I have a Mac and so did a search for that specifically. I don't know if it works on a PC. I also found Feedly and FeedDemon but was happy enough with NewFire that I stopped there. good luck!
I'm sure it's been suggested already, but switch to Google Reader. I made the switch a little while back and I'm really happy with it.
I used to use bloglines too, but now I use my own blog roll. I switched to the version where it lists the blogs in the order of the most recently updated and gives the title of the post, so I can usually quickly see which blogs have been updated since my last read. The only minor inconvenience is that it opens a bunch of new windows for each blog that I click on...
I haven't tried google reader, so I can't compare the 2 options.
I have changed to Google Reader, too. It took a day or two to figure it out, but now it feels just like Bloglines:-)
google reader here as well:)
