I was gifted some patterns the other day of the “we were going through old stuff and knew you sewed” variety. I am keeping some of the patterns but I will never sew a kuspuk.
I can always use hat, mitten, and cold weather gear patterns. That v-neck fleece top is pretty bad with the moose (maybe deer?) motif. I will make the sweatshirts for my kids. I have a really hard time looking past bad pattern illustrations.
I will never make these patterns. I have two that are exactly the same and all four of them look to be about the same size. If anyone wants them, leave a comment and an email and I’ll contact you. I’ll send them to you for free just because they were my aunt’s and I want them to go to a good home. I’ll even splurge for postage. If several people want them, I’ll divvy them up and randomly assign you one.

I really like the pattern number 101 (bottom right). However, if you want to send them all in one go and would rather not send overseas (I'm in England) then I totally understand! If you don't mind a request and overseas shipping I'd love to give it a new home, I've been looking for just the right winter coat pattern for years and I think that one may be just about the shape I've been looking for! annabholt at gmail dot com Thanks!
I don't need cold weather gear down here in the desert, but I'm so glad to see you back sewing and blogging! I hope you are enjoying your new home and situation!

What exactly is a kuspuk? It sounds contagious.
I would love to have one of the duplicate patterns (upper right and lower left). I've had several research trips to Barrow, Alaska and absolutely adore the Parkas worn by the Inupiat people. It would be nice to have this and even possibly make my own parka for a future trip. I would really cherish it!!!!:) Thanks so much in advance!!!
I'm so glad to see you blogging again. I like the parka patterns. When I was 3 I had a fake fur Alaskan style parka that I loved.
Ohh, please put me in for consideration for the one on the lower right (blue printing). That looks like a lot of fun!

And yes, what is a kuspuk, please!
Thanks for sharing -- it's so good to see old patterns passed on instead of getting chucked.
Shame, I couldn't see the moose / deer pic on my computer, but it sounds..um.. groovy?
Enjoy your patterns. And I, too, would like to know what a kuspuk is!
My California-born daughter, age 30 and a resident of freezing-in-the-winter Pittsburgh, thinks the raglan sleeve parka is fabulous! If you send it, I'll make it for her!
Have whoever gets those kuspuk patterns to email me. I've got a pattern for one and we can have the web's first kuspuk-along!
Yes, I'm dying to know what a kuspuk is too. What is it?
I'm not in the request for the patterns though; I live in Australia and they all look on the rather warm side for the climate on this side of the globe!
I think we can all agree that we want to know what a kuspuk is...it definitely sounds like an Alaskana post!
Wondering if you still had the Alaskan Kuspuk patterns? I have made several and love to make and wear them.
Hi,
I live in Alaska and have been searching for Kuspuk patterns, I am Aleut, but grew up in Seattle, and having the Kuspuk patterns would really help me, as I have always wanted to make a traditional Kuspuk.
I hope you still have them! and you pick me!

Any chance at all that you still have the pattern on the lower right and would like to get rid of it?
Thanks!
Oh! I would love to have one of your parka patterns! My Mother was Tlingit and everything she owned was burned in a fire. I have fur and hide from my Father, he was a trapper.
I am a tlinget indian from alaska and have been looking for the raglin sleeve pattern forever. I would love to make this:-) When will you decide to send them out? I have been checking on this site for a bit :-)
