Burda 06-2008-104 Trousers

I just made these up yesterday and today. They are comfortable and fit well. I have crotch wrinkles though. It sounds like I have a disease doesn't it? On the plus side, my RTW pants fit me like this so I know I'm close.

Here are the icky wrinkles.

The back fits well. I had to take in about an inch above my posterior.

They have a wide waistband which I like. No more peeking at my undies for other people.

Snaps are fun. Love them. Enable me so I will buy this snap press. Tell me how cool snaps are. Please?

I added slight flairs to the bottoms on the pants using my Jalie 2000 pattern.

The true color. They are green outside but brown inside.

Dawn, great looking pants. I just came home from ASG Convention, one of my classes was with Peggy Sagers on fit. The information she provided at the convention is on her website:

maybe that will help with the wrinkles you were talking about on PR. Could it be too much length in the rise?

Good pants! The combination with the top is very good too.

Great pants, you did a wonderful job. I don't think the crotch wrinkles are an issue, and yes, you must purchase a snap setter, it makes life so much easier! (Is that enough enabling???)
BTW, you make me want to try BWOF!

Adorable pants! The whole outfit looks great. I have the little cheapy purple plastic snap setter and have loved it so the super-d-duper one you're considering will be fabulous!

Love the pants!
I get those front wrinkles, also. On me I take out a little in the crotch.

I get those crotch wrinkles too. I've tried taking out length but it doesn't seem to help. I think it must be a length/width combo thing. I've decided it's not worth the trouble to fix and so it must be a design feature, not a fit issue. :) I get them in RTW too.

Snaps are SUPER COOL and you should definitely get that snap setter. Everyone and everything looks better in snaps! (And your pants are awesome too!) :)

Love the pants and you DEFINITELY need that snap setter. If only to have it in case you need it (as I do). It's a pretty expensive paperweight.

Nice job on those pants. The fit on that waistband is perfect!

Cute pants! I think they fit you very well and wouldn't be too picky with those small wrinkles.

I forgot to say a snap press is VERY cool, however if you're not going to apply snaps to tons and tons of things, a snap setter tool you use with a hammer is great too.

Of course you need a snap setter. Just think of all the fabulous Burda projects you could put snaps on! Just think of the torture you could inflict on us, your faithful readers, who will be driven in turn to go out and buy our own snap setters. And so it goes on.

Buy the thing. I want to see what you do with it.

Your pants look lovely. I would not worry about crotch wrinkles. I think alot of times we see "flaws" in our own work that the average person wouldn't notice. Your sewing is impeccable and your blog is one of my favorites.
