Did I need these?

My local fabric boutique is having a big sale. They are getting rid of all their Vogue patterns and are selling them off at a whopping $1 a piece. I couldn't resist these fantastic vintage ones. Did I need them? No, probably not. Do I love them? Yes.

This might be my halloween costume for next year.

I probably would never make this. My chest is not my best feature.

This coat I love, love, love.

This is cute.

This would be a cute dress but can a flat-chested girl pull it off? Maybe, but maybe not.

I love this jacket.

I love the diamond details.

I love this whole set. Love the dress. Love the coat. Love the wrap blouse.

I really love this dress. I'm confused though. The back says to use jersey, linen, or crepe. I can easily see this in a knit but they recommend a knit and a woven?

This is very cute. I can see this at knee length.

Very nice picks. I see that on vintage patterns, recommending jersey and wovens. Maybe jersey wasn't as flexible then? I don't know that answer.

Wonderful finds, I love them all! I wouldn't be able to resist either, especially for a buck a piece!

Wow, what a great sale! I have the wrap blouse pattern and have made it. It's gorgeous in the illustration but a disaster in real life. Most of the photos I've found of it online support my opinion.(The problem is the weird knot thing in the front, the rest of the blouse is fine. And for someone like you, you could wear the blouse either way. with the wrap in the back or in the front.) btw, I support you in your moose eating endeavors! if you eat what you kill, that's just fine with me. we city slickers are so removed from our original food source and the circle of life. your moose is a good reminder for us.

Great finds! At a buck a piece, who cares if you need them, you have to have them! HA! It is an obsession that all of us sewers can revel in!

I love the picks...even if you never sew them, they can be eye candy...my husband refers to you as Moose Lady now...lol (I talk to him about your blog often...)

Hi great patterns. I made the white coat chopped off to jacket length to wear to my daughters wedding and found it went together really well. The design lines in shoulder area are what hooked me in. I like reading about your other life too. People forget that food does not start out processed and packaged.

I would not need those patterns either, but I would have bought them anyway. Those dresses are fantastic!
Oh, and your previous post is cute too. Well documented and very funny.

I love all of these patterns, they're gorgeous. As for did you need them ....... at that price consider it as a very wise investment! I wonder, do any of us actually need any more patterns - don't we all have huge amounts of patterns stashed away in hidden boxes .... or is that just me?

I especially love the last dress, with the stand-up collar. So chic.

I think the 2nd dress, with the midriff band and the gathered bust area would be adorable on a small-busted lady. I know this because it would suit my daughter, but would make me look like a milkmaid. I would have bought one of everything, if I had been there. I think you showed remarkable good taste and restraint.

HI I'm anon 5:35 p.m..
Just thought i'd forward this pic of that wrap blouse I mentioned above in hope of saving you some of the heartache that i suffered at the hands of this vogue pattern. :) this is the best version of it that i've found online (my version went straight to the trash), still you can see it's a little wonky in the neck part and where that opening is. this is not the sewer's fault, it's the pattern. the wearer always looks like she's choking with this blouse pattern. (it's not comfortable either)

Wow, I'm pretty jealous now! Maybe its for a firm knit? Because crepe would be sort of "spongy" and I could see it being comparable to a firm knit. The linen has me stumped, but I "have" seen that style in vintage dresses out of ltweight cotton or linen, so who knows!
