I plan on cranking out a few more pairs of the Jalie jeans. They fit me fantastically and I don't need to do any fit modifications at all. I may change the straight waistband into a countoured band but, then again, I might not. We really need to help each other find suitable denim. I ordered this yardage from Fabric.com a while ago and did a little comparison for you here.
Hope to see you on the PatternReview thread!!!

I really need to jump on this one. I am in such need of well-fitting jeans! I have the Jalie too. And denim. And all the topstitching threads, rivets, jean buttons, hump-jumper, metal jean zippers, etc etc etc, that I bought LAST time you started a Jalie jeans sewalong. heh. :P
Ohhhhhh, so very tempting. I feel I might need to get in on this action myself. BTW, I will be heading to your neck of the woods in 2 weeks. I have a research trip planned for a week in Barrow Alaska. When I found out I instantly thought of you since you're the only person I know that lives in Alaska. Do you have any tips for me, besides bundling up to stay really warm (it's so cold up there)?
Excellent, I think I will buy some cheapo denim and work on getting the pattern alterations right then hopefully at some point I too will be able to crank these out like you! Thanks for starting the sewalong thread.
Awesome! I've been looking forward to this and have all my supplies ready. Glad to see you back to blogging: )
I need to do this. NEED. I've put it off for too long. I have the pattern and the denim already. And I'm finally ready for a smaller size. It's time!
Thanks for incentive. I made the Jalie jeans a couple of months ago. They fit perfectly as long as I don't move. It's time to add to the seam allowances and make another pair!
Gaaaah, just thinking about this gives me that "uh oh, I'm taking on too much again," feeling. But it will be worth it to have a pair of jeans that fit.
I bought a sample of denim from Fashion Fabrics Club, #FFF335. It's listed as 100% cotton "medium weight". The dark navy color is darker than indigo denim, with white cross threads.
Unwashed it seemed thin but washed it plumps up and is great! It seems like a good weight for jeans for those who are looking for non-stretch denim. There denim is even a little on sale!
BBB666 is dark navy 1% stretch denim, listed as 12oz. I don't have a sample of that.
