I've been in love with this top since I saw Karen's versions of it. I used the Fabric.com Cotton Baby Jersey Knits in the rose color. It's not usually a color that I am drawn to but I really like it in this knit.
The pattern is a great basic. It's a cut-on turtleneck with sleeves. As with all Burda knit tops, I made a size 34. This pattern only goes down to a size 36 so I graded down one size. I will make this again but probably with a different knit. I love this one but it doesn't quite have enough stretch. It's really tight to get over the neck. And next time I make it, I'll make sure and down notch the back turtleneck facing because I'll be damned if I can figure out which is the front and back of this thing. I tried it on the other way and there were lots of wrinkles which is why I think this is the way it is supposed to be. I think the neck wrinkles on this top kind of go with the style.

Ooh, I need to make this one too. It looks great and you look very nice in pink!
I'm glad to see this made up. The style and color suits you! I'm currently working on skirt #116 from the same issue. So far so good. Glad the turtleneck worked out and now, seeing your success, I must move it up in my sewing queue. Thanks.
I forgot to mention in my review that you can't tell back from front on this one. I ran a row of stitches on the inside back of the collar so I could figure out which was which - but of course not until I finished the thing and tried it on.
I like the color of yours. Not a color I'm used to seeing on you, but I think it's one of those all-around flattering colors.
The neck wrinkles are definitely part of the deal. I think they look fab :-).
it looks fab, i think i'll made more than one from this pattern ;)
I totally skipped over this one, but now it's going on my list for fall. Looks like a perfect basic!
Ooo.. very nice!
I like this turtle neck, it doesn't appear to be too tight around the neck.
Hi there - does it really require 2 metres of fabric? Or could I get away with less? Thanks for your advice! Yours are great!
I love this tee. Your pics inspired me to make several. I did not have the Burda but cut my pattern from a RTW I got from Land's End. I never could figure which was front and back either and finally decided that it didn't matter. I got all my knits from Fabric.com after seeing your pink one. I like the baby knit but I think my favorite is the rayon/poly jersey I got from them. It has the most luxurious feel and more stretch than the baby knit. The only trouble with it is that it goes off grain after it is prewashed and you loose as much as a fourth of a yard getting it straight enough to cut out.
