The actual fabric is closer to this color. It is a very dark eggplant purple wool knit from Gorgeous Fabrics. It is much thicker than the other fabric and it pulled the hem way down so I ended up cutting of about 5 inches off the bottom.
I added a center back seam to the back of the pattern. If I make this raglan top with the jewel neck I'll be adding the center back seam for shaping purposes. It really is a nice fitting raglan top.
Enjoy! I'll write a full review tomorrow. What is up with Bloglines today?? I know people have posted things but nothing is showing up in mt blog roll. Annoying.

Cute dress!
Super duper cute! Nice job blending the 2 patterns together and adding the gathers! Love the color, too!
You are superfast! I like the look with the turtleneck underneath.
Wow that was fast! Great dress on you. Glad to be of help.
Wow! It looks fabulous! I'd love to time you on your sewing machine, seriously. =)
Those outfits look so good on you. They are PERFECT!!!
Oh so cute - you did a great job in copying the HP's dress.
Great knock-off - it's an adorable dress! Beautiful color as well.
Super cute dress Dawn! Dang, I'm needing some plum in my wardrobe now.
I love the dress and all of the gathers look very professional! You did a great job blending the patterns! If the sleeves are bothering you, instead of ripping serger thread, you could cut the band off right above the seam and then make the band smaller and stitch it back on....you would only be shortening it by about 1/4", which isn't a big deal on that style.
Great dress! Very flattering and it looks super comfortable!
Yeah, I'm having trouble with bloglines too... :(
