Wow.

I just back from a five day stint in Fairbanks for a family funeral. While I was gone my husband built a wall in the garage and made me a sewing room complete with faux bamboo flooring, new sewing table, metal shelf, and fun paint colors. I had no idea he was planning on this. What a surprise to come back to this. He still has to install a light and a piece of trim but he said I could start moving my stuff in. I love the paint colors. Yes, it's an ugly heater but I am in a garage.

This is the current sewing room. Right now it's full of garage items. He had to move it somewhere while he worked.

NICE surprise. I'm sorry you were away for that reason, but WOW what a homecoming.

Maybe when you're settled, you can explain the layout. I'm confused about the before and look forward to the after.

Is the garage insulated?! I assume so :-)

Great to have husbands who support our hobby. The heater looks fine. Too cold in our sewing space isn't fun.

OMG, I thought I was the only one in America with one of those crazy heaters. Ours is in the basement family room and there was just no getting around it.
Congrats on your new digs. Watch your productivity soar, really! You think you are sewing lots now - wait till you have your little hideaway in production mode.
