Help with cropped pant length . . .

These are BWOF 06/2009 #112. I talked about them here. Beth had asked how tall I was because I said I'm not tall. I'm about 5'5" so I'm the average height for US women. I'm wearing 2" cork wedges in this photo. I looked at the BWOF model photo to pick my shoes. I made these pants shorter and longer and I think this is the best length. What do you think? Obviously when I do the real cuffs they will not be all crooked like this. I didn't realize my pin job was so bad until I looked at these photos.

This is my first time makes inseam pockets. I'll take some pictures of those when I do the real review.

I love that BWOF fits my butt with very little alteration.

So, good length?

Does the proportion feel right to you? I think they look good. On the model though, they appear to be a bit shorter, at least from my perspective.

Hi Dawn.

I always love everything that you do and you take such care with your projects. But, (and you knew that there was a "but" coming, didn't you) I really do not like this length with that shoe height. I would like it with flat shoes or would like the pants either long or shorter by about 2-3 inches with those shoes. But hey, what do I know, right?

I think that a little shorter would be better. I agree with Gwen that the model's is shorter. To the bottom of the calf is a better length.

I agree with Nancy that shorter would be better, so they look intentionally 'cropped'.

My 2 cents: I'd like them more if they were a little bit shorter. Now they look like they were accidentaly cropped to short. More of a 3/4's look would suit the pants, imo. But I'm not going to be the one wearing them, and for you, this look might be right.

I have a personal joke about cropped pants. I'm nearly 6'4" and I tell everybody that I invented the style because when I buy store-bought pants, that is where they end up on me - cropped (hence, why I sew).

I agree with the other comments that a bit shorter would look better - especially with the style of shoes you are wearing. I love the fit on you.

I'm going to agree with everyone else here and say slightly shorter. They look like they were meant to be full length here, but got cut short. I think two or three inches shorter might resolve that issue.

I, too, love everything that you sew and appreciate your attention to detail but these pants appear to be a little big on you. I'm not a fan of front pleated pants and maybe that's the problem. You have such a cute, slim figure and look smashing in your newly made, figure-fitting jeans.

I'm with the others, maybe one more roll up of the cuff. The back fit is great. Sometimes you have to wear pleated pants because they are just so comfortable.
