Meet my twin

Hee hee. It ain't pretty but it works. I still need to make a few alterations but it/she can wear my clothes and the wrinkles are all similar.

I'll have to do something about the neck area. I'm not sure how to completely cover it. She's a bit lopsided too. The left hip is a bit rounder than it should be.

After I took the double off, the stomach was a good 3" larger than the real me. You can see that I tried to make it a bit smaller. I asked my husband, "Is my waist really that small and my hips really that big?" He said, "Ohhhhhh baby."

The back side is the side that I really needed. I have a hard time altering things in the back. No matter what I do, I get wrinkles. This outta help me.

See, the same wrinkles as when the dress is on me.

I still need to firm her up and make her solid but it's certainly going to help my altering. I used the tutorial from Beth over at Rusty Bobbin. Thanks Beth!!!

great job! my first form (well, second actually) expanded significantly after the first day- maybe moisture affects the tape elasticity? I'm working on another form soon.

What a sweetie of DH to help with this! And isn't nice to have someone who is so appreciative of what we think are our figure flaws? LOL

This is great! I have been thinking about making these because dress forms are sooo expensive in England (about $300). You have given me the push to have a go.

Your form looks great. I'm sure it will come in very handy. I have to one day get around to making mine! I did get as far as buying the tape...

Just like a(n appreciative) man! LOL!
I have to make one also. I even have a dd (acutally two - the 17 yo is kind of clutsy though) that could help me with this. I'm trying to lose weight first, so that I don't have to do it over again.
Hmmmmm, now there's a new one - NOT making a dress form until I loose the weight! I AM curious as to why it turned out 3" bigger in the stomach. I bought a magazine that described how to do it with paper tape. Does that make me even with Ann?

I just couldn't do it, I broke down & bought a uniquely you one, and like it. Zipping it up was the adventure. How did AK take Sarah Palin's speech last night?

Sounds like you've got some competition. You might want to lock her up at nights...
